Melissa Brown lives and works in New York. She is a member of the artist-run gallery Essex Flowers and has mounted solo exhibitions most recently at Roberto Paradise, San Juan, Magenta Plains, New York and The Journal, Brooklyn. She has participated in group exhibitions at Mass MOCA, Canada, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, Klaus Von Nichtssagend and Musée International Des Arts Modestes. In 2012 she was awarded the Joan Mitchell Painter’s Grant.
